English Riviera set to see return of much-loved giant Ferris wheel in time for tourist season

The giant Ferris wheel in Torquay, much-adored and frequented by locals and visitors alike is set for a welcome return to the English Riviera in time for the tourist season.
The wheel, not far from the Torquay leisure hotels that hosts lots of sun-seeking holidaymakers annually, comes in at a height of nearly 60 metres, making it taller than Nelson's Column, while offering a simply breathtaking 360 degree views across the popular Bay.
The wheel will soon be cited in the familiar location in Princess Gardens, Torquay.
The attraction, which provides some of the most unrivalled views over Tor Bay, is almost completely silent in operation, and is suitable for all ages to enjoy.
It possesses as many as 40 enclosed lit gondolas, each of which can carry up to six passengers and can also take wheelchairs.
The wheel will be open to the public again this weekend, with the first ride taking place on Saturday March 28, running until Sunday November 1.
